Job Description

A well-established law firm is seeking a highly skilled Legal Secretary to provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to multiple attorneys. This confidential Legal Secretary role is essential to the day-to-day operations of the practice and requires a professional who can work independently, anticipate attorney needs, and maintain the highest level of discretion. The successful Legal Secretary will demonstrate exceptional organization, strong communication skills, and the flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities while delivering superior service to attorneys and clients.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Provide legal and administrative support as a Legal Secretary, including file management, document production, drafting, proofreading, and editing legal correspondence.
  • Manage extensive e-filing responsibilities in administrative, state, and federal courts, with strong knowledge of court rules and civil procedures across jurisdictions.
  • Serve as a point of contact for client communications and interactions with courts and attorneys, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Oversee legal calendaring using Juralaw and other electronic court rule systems, managing multiple attorney calendars, deadlines, appointments, and travel arrangements.
  • Prepare travel arrangements and expense reimbursements while balancing competing priorities for multiple attorneys.
  • Utilize advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Coyote timekeeping, and DMS systems such as iManage (or similar), supported by a minimum of two years' experience as a litigation secretary; transactional or administrative hearing experience is a plus.
